Anhydrous ammonia Dry ammonia, i.e. ammonia containing no dissolved water; one of the most important petroleum-derived raw materials used in the chemical industry. Anticlinal trap A hydrocarbon trap formed by the upvvard bowing of strata into a dome or arch. Anticline A tectonic structure in which strata are folded so as to form an arch or dome (i.e. convex on top). See tectonic process.
