Cable A rope of wire, hemp, or other strong fibres. Cable ( coaxial) A transmission cable consisting of two concentric conductors insulated from each other. Cable-tool drilling A drilling method in which the hole is drilled by dropping a sharply pointed bit on the bottom of the hole. The bit is attached to cable, and the cable is picked up and dropped, over and over, as the hole is drilled. Calcarenite A name suggested by A.W.
